A behind-the-scenes lead generation playbook focused on the daily activity that creates pipeline: account research, thoughtful follow-up, personal video, and useful community conversations. This written playbook focuses on the activities and decisions demonstrated in the video, so you can adapt the approach without needing to copy the exact words or setup.
What this playbook covers
The video packages a practical working session around Watch me spend 1hr+ generating leads (video outreach, Linkedin, email, etc.). Read it as a guide to the underlying activity: identify the situation, choose the right next move, and build a repeatable way to do the work well.
Build a small, workable outreach block
Lead generation is easier to sustain when the work is specific. Choose a small group of people or accounts, decide why each one is relevant, and give the session a clear finish line. A focused hour of activity is more useful than an abstract plan to “do more outreach.”
Make every touchpoint earn attention
Use a real observation, a shared context, or a useful idea to start the conversation. Short personal videos, LinkedIn messages, and email follow-ups work best when they show that you understand the person’s world, not when they imitate a mass campaign.
Treat follow-up as relationship work
Most opportunities are not created by a single perfect message. Keep notes, make the next step easy, and come back when you have a genuine reason to do so. That approach is especially valuable in Columbus, where the same people often meet again through work and community.
Take the useful part into your own work
Use the framework, then tailor it to your audience, offer, capacity, and goals. The goal is not to reproduce the video. It is to make one useful improvement in your own work.
- Choose ten people or accounts to research this week, then write down one relevant reason to reach out to each of them.
- Reserve a recurring 45-minute follow-up block and send messages that offer context or value before asking for time.

Kind: captions Language: en Hey there, my name is Andy and you stumbled across my channel where I teach you in public everything I'm doing to build a marketing services and community empire. To date, my agency has made a little over 370K as of last month. This chart is a little bit outdated. And I have three businesses. One is my web and SEO studio for healthcare called MM Design. Other is my podcast. And the third is the Columbus Marketing Organization or the CMO, which is my in-person events, job board, networking empire. So, a couple things that we're going to do today. If you guys are new to the channel, how we usually structure these is we do a little bit of Q&A. So, questions from my network, things that will be helpful for marketers on their journey to making more money. Number two, building and strategizing public. And three, updates and growth stats across all of my platforms and products. So, today I I'll skip over the Q&A today. I want to get right into some live lead genen, which has kind of been the highest performing content on this channel so far. the way I usually approach lead genen every single morning focusing on the highest leverage activities. So active act active conversations follow-ups and inbound then moving on to quarter conversation non-timebound follow-ups and outreach to existing customers and then third quarter conversations content and communities. One thing I did want to share with you guys is how oh um one thing I'm trying I'm I am recording on a new software now. This is Riverside. Hopefully this increases the recording experience a bit and it will allow me to record tele videos at the same time hopefully and hopefully the performance does not just absolutely crumble due to uh me asking too much of the software here. But I've been checking in on the video outreach pipeline if you guys have been following along and we're still stuck at the bottleneck of not getting watches. So, I think we need to revisit the script of our initial I'll still follow up with these contacts a few more times because they are great fits, but I think we need to kind of revisit our script and our packaging a little bit to be more appealing to our ICP to open. Um, but what I do have is usually I'll plan out my days here from 9:30 to 11:00 I have blocked off to do lead genen activities and I'll usually just um have these I put it in the wrong section here but within these I will kind of just manually add a checklist of the things that I need to respond to that are highest leverage and that I need to follow up on. So right now we have two existing customer inbounds that I need to respond to. Uh one of them is on LinkedIn and one of them is on email. So respond to Maria here. This is an inbound lead for That's perfect. Awesome. Yes. We'll drop below p. Happy labor day. Maria commercial point. Networking call existing customer inbound is important. So just cross that off Danielle. Okay. So, one thing is I encourage you guys, one thing that's really come to life for me recently is I have Oh, by the way, I'm kind of vibe coding an app here within Fable 5.1, which I've taken a look at Astra 6 or I think's new model is called Astra. I haven't really looked into that yet, nor do I even have access to it, it looks like. But apparently it's AGI, which is just what all the AI bros love to say whenever a new model comes out. So, I have I have a little bit of AI AI catching up to do. But today's going to be a really good day. And by the way, today is Labor Day. I love the feeling of it's kind of like a Sunday. So, I love the feeling of just working without having the pressure to get a lot of stuff done. Oh, okay. Client fire to put out bitcoins and the D. Okay. So, I'll worry about that in a little bit. Um, yeah. So, video DMs. I still have a full pipeline here within Folk that I'm going to continue to optimize. I don't want to do that. Let me go to video outreach. I still have three really good fits here that I want to get done today. I'm going to try and send more than three, but man, it's just so unfortunate because some of these are just such good fits that I really I just want them to see the video and I'm so confident that they'll be blown away by the value that it's just disappointing. But this is the reps, you know, this is what we got to do. So, okay, let's move on to others. Beach Acres Parenting Center. Okay, let's go and enrich my fellow here. Detailed have his email Beach Acres Parenting Center. Go to LinkedIn. Boom. A beach acres acres parenting center. Oh lord. So I did watch a video recently on YouTube going over some Loom DMs from Nixar on how I can format them a little bit better to convert. So, I think it was this video right here. Well, he gave like a step by step with a really good format. Um, I have to believe it was might have been this video right here. But essentially, what I need to do is reformat my outreach a little bit differently. So, I'm thinking about what I'm starting by doing is one I think I'm doing that right. I think I have the warm mature part right. Then moving on to directly into value. So saying something between tune of, hey, I just saw this quick thing on your websites. I'm on websites all day. I just saw this quick little thing that this quick small change that if you adjust it, I think can make you five to 10 extra thousand dollars or something like that. and say and then go into the value and the change say obviously you can go ahead and change this yourself but if you need some extra hands to dive on to it but happy to do that don't even want to discuss working together if it's not in the picture something to that extent so directly into the value and then don't no CTA and I'm thinking about what I'm doing is to make it a bit more passive adding a call link just within the footer of my sent mail. So, if I go here to like my email footer, of course, I don't have that turned on right now, but if I go to my typical email footer, I'm thinking about just adding a uh book a call with me to my email footer. Just another line in there. It already looks really nice. took forever to organize it like this, but have have that there. And this is also another weed I need to respond to that uh email me back, but something to that extent I think would be really helpful. And then going on that's kind of at the bottom here. So, the sign off could be um I think the sign off should be more so to the extent of let's just look at the Nick video here. Talk about how he segments it out. I don't think this is the right video. Yeah, this is Here we go. That's not right. No, I don't know where it's at. So, I'm just going to follow the beat of my own drum here. I think I can do it. Direct anchor into value. Uh, deliver value with subtle social proof. So something tune of, hey, we've worked with hundreds of healthcare brands and what we've seen with our clients that have helped generate the best results led to 10x increase in conversions, things like that. That really anchor and deliver home the value and then no CTA and then let let it kind of passively take care of itself. So that's the structure I'm going to use moving forwards and kind of keeping it Uh, keeping it right there. Shout out to Ryan Hawk Goat. But yeah, let's get right into it. I'm procrastinating, I feel like. Oh boy, this is such an ugly website. Oh, so what could we Oh, there's a lot of places I could start here. Okay, let's look at the technical. Oh, yeah. Great. So, what's our guy's name? Is Jordan record on Mac? Hopefully, this is still recording on Riverside, too. I have a little modem drop down here. Yeah, there we go. You guys are getting the full picture today. Double screen record. Sure. MV7. Rescord the screen. Boom. And my guy's name. What was my guy's name? Jordana from Cincinnati. I'm going to start. Hey, what's going on Jordan? I hope you're having a fantastic short week with Labor Day here. I saw you were based in Cincinnati. It's good to be connected on LinkedIn, which led me over to the website. Uh there was one or two small things I wanted to point out to you because I'm in websites all I'm in websites all the time. And there's one or two small things that I think if you just change, you'll be able to make an extra 10 to 20,000 a month just based on what we've seen with our existing healthcare clients. So, a few things on the technical side, just pulling up this Chrome extension. There isn't a detailed page title or metad description. Ideally, what you what you want to do is have some type of keyword that AI search tools and Google can then trace back to your website. especially for local search. If you have locations here in Ohio, putting some location based search tools is going to make it really is really going to is going to is going to go such a long way in serving up your website when people are searching in their time of need. Also, just small UX best practices here. I highly recommend moving our CTA to the far right of the screen. And conceptually, we've looked at heat maps and it's shown that when we have social media links here in the top of the website, people click off of them. Ideally, we want people spending more time on our websites and not on social media where reach is a lot higher. Um, so I would we generally recommend only having social links in the footer. Obviously, these are small obviously these are small changes that you guys can implement yourself. I saw that you're on WordPress. I don't even want to talk about working together until you have those small things fixed. But again, just those small high leverage activities could ideally increase your conversions two to 3x. If you guys need if you guys need some web help or you need a partner, just respond with a thumbs up and I'm happy to respond and get I'm happy to jump in and fix some of these for free. They're very simple. But either way, just glad to be connected and hope you're doing well. Cheers, man. Okay, so definitely not my best there. Um, again, I hope this is recording everything properly, but you guys can see I didn't nail it in one rip. Uh, which I will I've gotten better, but I'll definitely have to do a little bit of editing there. It's a good thing that Loom or Riverside or Tell makes it pretty easy to do. So, what I've been seeing is that I've gotten better responses with the circle format like this and then making it bigger. Anchor here. Go to cut. Remove buffers fast. Remove silences. Could improve the lighting in this room a little bit too now I think about it. Notice I'm just doing some light editing here. Going more so for volume here. bigger. God should base search. Boom. Just cut all that. Obviously. So, I thought about putting website vid for Jordan. Copy that. See? Share. Email. Boom. Link text. Boom. Copy content. Video. Yeah. Copy content. This gets a lot quicker when I have kind of the workflow set up already. Okay, so subject line. I think that's our biggest area for improvement here. Good to be connected back to the CRM. Copy my guy's email here. Go to have to find my honest thoughts. We just connected on LinkedIn, which led me to the A small things on your guys' website that I wanted to helpfully point out to you that I think and I think these small changes alone could two to 3x the amount of leads that you guys get from the site. But if you guys need some web help, respond with a thumbs up and I'm happy to fix this problem and all the existing ones on there before we before we even talk about working together. Period. Boom. I think that's a good one. Notice the changes that we made. We didn't include the case studies and we didn't include the calendar link. Maybe we just copy links. Maybe we just subtly add it here. Book a call. I don't want to do that for everyone, but I got just reps. That's all it is. So, boom. Sent to Jordan. Now, we move to average sent. Okay. Next up, Talbert House. Mrs. Jody Harding. Details. Talberthouse.org. or let's bring up that last one as a template. Boom. Good to be connected. Be connected. Boom. I'm back and record Mac new video here. Back LinkedIn I think we are going to I don't want to go to sales navigator. Come on now. Jody Harding. Okay, Jody, it's my mom's name. I'm definitely going to say that. Hey, Jody, that's my mom's name. Um, all right. So, let's contact us. Vit website. Oh, yeah. Oh my lord. That's actually not that bad. How can we serve you? Okay, that's a big one. Non-escriptive links. Um, non-escriptive page title heading empowering help starts here. Okay, put a keyword in the H1. It's actually not a bad website. It's just ugly. Oh, they don't even have their drop. Okay. All right. Sending to Chody. Hey, how's it going, Jody? You and I just connected on LinkedIn. I figured I would blow you away with a quick little video here. Hey, I just stumbled across the Talbert House website. Great work, but there's a few small things that I just wanted to point out to you that I firmly believe could two to three extra conversions that you guys get from your website. The biggest one being is you guys have a services link in the top nav. Ideally, you want to have what we've seen with our past clients that you have individual service pages and you keyword optimize those from your business name. And if you keyword optimize those for your business name and the descriptive name of the service, you have a much better chance at ranking in organic and also AI based searches. So, for example, when I go to this page, all of our services currently live on one page. We have a really good opportunity here to separate out those queries and make them more accessible in the topn nav. That way when people find you guys online, they can learn more about everything that you do without having to really dig into this buried nav here on the left. Also, we have this also on the top right we have this hamburger menu which isn't very descriptive and it kind of alludes to like a mobile navigation. Ideally on desktop we don't have those and it makes it easier for visitors to bounce around on the site. Also we want to make our main CTA a lot more queer. So having this on a contrasted background ideally in the top right. We've seen from our heat maps that if we have a contrasted large easy to click CTA just a much better conversion rate. It's easier to click and people see it no matter where they're at on the site. So adding this making it a bigger button and I will get a lot more I guarantee we'll get a lot more donations by doing that. Obviously these are all small changes but they make a huge difference when done over time. So, I highly encourage you to implement those. If you guys, like I said, this isn't a sales pitch or anything like that. If you guys are in need of any web help and need some support, just respond yes or with a thumbs up and I'm happy to go in and implement these for you and maybe talk about working together in the future. Thank you for all you do. Glad to be connected and happy Labor Day week. Cheers. That went bad. I stumbled a few times there, but overall not terrible. Cut. Remove buffers. Remove eight silences. Layout. I'll try a different layout here because I'm getting bored. I think it should be should still be a full screen so that way they can see it a little bit better. here. Boom. Left large. Make me bigger. Not that big though. Oh, I didn't make them. My mom is same as Jody. Joke. I think I need to be more nonchalant. I don't want to sound desperate, which it kind of I'm not desperate, but when I I in my mind I am because I'm just nervous when I'm recording these a little bit. So, Add a quick little zoom here. Boom. I think I'm going to remove the hamburger talk right here. Cut. better Ah, damn thing. show your website upside tips. Quick thoughts. Quick thoughts. You guys can see I'm slightly changing different elements of the packaging here from the quick link to kind of everything in between, CTAs, etc. The Talbert House that could two to 3x the amount of weeds that we get from the website. Inbound donations. Boom. All right, shorty. Two down. All right, I'll do one more here on video if I head back over to River. So, I don't not sure how long this video is getting. 35. I can do a few more. Uno Mas. Okay. Thank you, Jody. I also want to make sure that these are categorized here within Tela as well to make sure when I do my audit that I can accurately put them in the right categories here. So move those to add to playlist video outreach. I think it did it. Yeah, perfect. Alrighty. Who's next? Anchor run center people. People people and rich nic Why do you keep taking me to sales navigator? I'm not a big fan of that. Laura Hopen John's director details Laura Hop and John's video outreach Anchor Wellness Center. Oh, baby. It's the right company. Yeah, it is. I think it is. That's a really good thing to pull up as in the SERs. It's anchor diction or anchor anchors.com. Hang on now. Let me make sure I have the right company here. Yeah, it is. Okay. Oh, yeah. Dude, this is [ __ ] terrible. Pardon my language. All right. Okay. Name was [ __ ] Son of a [ __ ] Yeah, there we go. Thanks. Hey, how's it going, Lori? We just connected on LinkedIn. I just thought I would send a quick intro here to personalize myself. Hey, I just went to your guys's website, the Ankor Cincinnati website, and I'll go to the website here in a second, but essentially what you want to do is a little too direct there. Hey Lori, I hope you are doing fantastically. Hey, you and I just connected on LinkedIn and I wanted to send a quick intro, not just to personalize myself, but I went over to you guys' website and there's a few things that I want to get your eyes on that I think will instantly make a huge difference. And I've made, you know, and what we've seen in some of our past clients is just these small changes can often make five to six figures of difference over a longer period of time. So, I went and I searched just in the Perplexity browser here. We're very focused on AI search, getting our clients ranking up high there. Uh, when I search Ankor Wellness Center, I'm using Perplexity, which is an AI browser. This is what comes up. And so, the things that we need to optimize here is having some keywords in our page title and metad descriptions, and also making sure that we have a web clip image. This is what shows up in the browser. And it also shows up next to our SER, which is what this is called, search engine rankings. Search engine rankings preview. Um, so that that way I know that way as a visitor I know what I'm clicking when I get to the website. So when I do land on your guys' home page, there's a few other things that I think we can improve as well. Like I said, this is the test that we run on all of our client sites. You can see there's a lot of optimization that needs to be done here to make sure that we're showing up in Google in an AI search. Again, keywords in the page title, better metad description that more aligns with our brand and is a proper character limit. Right now, this is too long and also a more expansive footer. The footer right here is basically now just a logo and social links. We want to make sure that the footer is serving as our as our drawer. Want to make sure that the server we want to make sure that our footer has all of the links on our website. That's why you traditionally see multiple rows of links. And the reason that we do that is because no matter what page we're on, we need a place for visitors to go to all the pages. It's also a good signal for Google rankings to index pages that have internal links, meaning that each page on the website kind of points to each other. It's good for UX and it helps our pages rank higher. So again, just those small changes alone are going to make a huge difference for you guys. I highly encourage you to go and use those. Highly encourage you guys go and implement those before we even talk about working together. If you just reply with a If you guys do need web help, feel feel free to reply with a thumbs up and we can get on working with If you guys do need web help, feel free to just reply with thumbs up and we can get started on this or get on a call to or get on a call to discuss next steps. Appreciate you, Lori. Have a fantastic day and I'm looking forward to be connected on LinkedIn. Cheers. Man, if I could start with oneshotting these, it would be massively helpful. But um yeah, not quite there yet. Learning in live time, my friends. So, I want to make sure I turn on subs here. Wish it was correct more often. Going to try our AI editor here and see if it actually makes a difference. Can I remember my buffers? So, this is kind of important. I need to make sure that the image preview is Ah, bastard. No. Put it right there. Want to make sure that our link on our Right. How impressed you guys. together. Feel free to reply with Damn, I'm really messing with this one. Start now. Damn you. Change ed text. Damn. Sometimes I question why I do this. Lori slash website tips. Perfect. See, share email. Share email. Copy content. Compose. Quick thoughts. sent anchor. Okay. Did the enrichment work? Doesn't look like the enrichment worked. Get her contact information. So, what do we got to do? We got to use an external enrichment tool, which is great. And I wish I would have found this before I emailed her. So, um, no issues here. We're going to go to hunter.io. Still have plenty of credits on here. Going to go to finder. We're going to go to microonas anchorsy.com reveal another person Samantha. Okay. First name cadence verifier at anchorency.com verify. Perfect. So that means we're good there. Default. Add her email there. And then we can just send the issues with the page titles and meta. uh along with all the others along with all the other issues on the site before we ever discuss working together. Smile face emoji. Look at that. Confirious. Boom. Okie dokie. So, those will be my three for today. I'll probably come back later, do some more of these. But if we check LinkedIn just for other inbound or messages, etc. Interesting person. Pick a location. I don't care how much. Shout out Tony. This guy could be a good referral partner. Perfect. Well, I think past emoji. Be a good coffee shop. at coffee places in Quintonville. [ __ ] me. Coffee shops in Crimson Cup in Clintonville. This is a good place right here. We're almost out of battery here, so I'll make this my last outreach. Again, make it easy for people to say yes to an inerson meeting. Crimson Cup in Quintonville. Mind if I make a calendar invite? Boom. Now I'm just going to go ahead and hold that call on my calendar. 8:30 and then I hate how I do this. Andy, Andy, and Tony. Boom. So, we have one booked meeting from a referral. So, that's speed. My godamn typing here. Uh, Crimson Cup, Quintonville. Okay. Um, so that is video outreach and optimizing for such. Going to go ahead and add that most recent one to our playlist of video outreach. Actually, there should be another. Yeah. Add to playlist video outreach. Cool. Okay. So, now we have 15. Next video, I'll check in on if we've gotten any more responses and I'll go back through and follow up to all of these here as well. So, let's do a quick checkin on brand stats. Um, if we go to home base, I need to get this on a custom URL, by the way.
